Cécile Fourcade is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, in art and architecture. She comes from a mountain family and finds inspiration in the mountains, bringing landscapes to life through tissue paper collages. Her work leads the eye to get lost on the lines of ridges, where the terrain and the sky meet between heaven and earth. These pure representations, from which emanate a limitless space and a strong silence, are an ode to nature, the wild, and a call to contemplation. Fourcade has exhibited in numerous exhibitions: including the Institute of France (1994) and at the Contemporary Art Salon de Montrouge (2002), and the Gallery Factory MB (Chamonix 2015 to 2016), and Librairie des Alpes (Paris 2013 - present).
