Movement, color and sound are some of the inspirations for Alex Fox’s creativity. After graduating from Housatonic Valley Regional High School, Fox travelled the western United States, Europe and Central America, fascinated by the food, culture and especially works of art in a variety of media: sculpture, masks, and paint. Evidence of his travels are apparent in all of Fox’s work, which is simultaneously whimsical and serious. Drawing on influences from artists such as de Kooning and Picasso, he creates works that invite introspection.
